Life is drawing without eraser.
Cheerleading is a sport which requires technique, flexibility, body awareness, strength, stamina, sharpness, heavy commitment which also meant hard work, discipline and will power. My first encounter with cheerleading was a performance put up by Haagen (Whitley Secondary School cheerleading team). I felt that it is cool and prone to injury at the same time which indeed it is, therefore I never wanted to try.
Recruitment performance is an annual combined performance during hall 5 and 13's freshmen welcome dinner. The purpose of this performance is to create awareness and attract the new batch of cheerleaders for the hall cheerleading team.
As I only have 3 years of university life, which means only 2 chances to join recruitment performance, I lost the first chance due to a major ankle injury where my ankle ligament loosen, and now here is my second and last chance to perform and I got myself into the exact injury 3 weeks prior to the first performance, having myself to blame. I felt totally disappointed with myself, both the stupidity and losing the chance to perform. Despite far from full recovery, this is the first time I ever wanted to fight for something, the determination is something I have yet experienced. This is what I really want to do and I will do it, afterall, whatever you find is worth doing at all, is worth doing well.
The principles of cheerleading is somewhat the principles of life. Here is one which I have concluded, everywhere you go, when something happens to you, 5% of the people who knows care, 30% of the people who knows doesn't care, 65% of the people who knows are glad that you had it, there will be people putting you down and people who always thinks that they are right. So buck up and focus on what you really want to do and go for it, the joy of your success is worth sharing with those who cares and worth disappointing those who tries to put you down.
This is how all things worked...
